As much as I love the warmer weather, there’s one major negative: melting makeup.  I switch my makeup for summer, but in the high heat and humidity, it can still slide right off my face.  The last thing I want is to have raccoon eyes before noon.
I admit that I’ve never used a makeup setting spray until I tried this DIY recipe.  It’s easy to make with just two ingredients, so why not, right?  Keep reading for an easy DIY makeup setting spray recipe that’s perfect for summer.

What You Need
  • just under 4 ounces distilled water
  • 4 teaspoons vegetable glycerin
  • 4-ounce spray bottle
  1. Pour vegetable glycerin in to the spray bottle.
  2. Fill with distilled water.
  3. Shake well.
To use, spray about 18-24″ from your face.  You just need a light mist, and you don’t want to soak yourself or your makeup will run.  You might want to practice on the weekend to get it right.
This helps hold your makeup all day, and the glycerin helps lock moisture in your skin.  Although I need this more in the summer, it’s also great in the winter if you have dry skin.
