Step 1: Get your weight

Most important thing is to determinate the optimal water consumption for your body weight. As the pounds or kilograms increase, the water intake increases accordingly.

If the numbers on the scale show a decimal, round up if it is a 5 or higher or round down if it is 4 or lower. For example 100.4 pounds= 100 pounds or 100.5 pounds= 101 pounds.

Step 2: Divide your weight in half

If this number also contains decimal, round it up simply. This number is the amount of water intake in ounces. 101 pounds/ 2= 50.5, and this can be rounded to 51 ounces.

Step 3: Determine activity level

The water intake has a direct correlation with the level of physical exert of ourselves. With exercise our bodies naturally expel water and it must be compensated with intake.

For every 30minutes of exercise add 16 ounces of water.

Step 4: Calculate water intake

This step means that we need to add the numbers in steps 2 and 3.
